This past weekend was a special one, my 25th birthday, and it was truly one of the better birthday weekends I have had. Friday night we went to Harry and Sons for Dancing Dragon Rolls and Saki. Saturday, I worked the High Museum Wine auction hocking some delicious creations by Chef Paul Sidener of Portofino. Now, because i was working, it meant I could go around and sample some of the other amazing cuisines from around Atlanta, and try some of the best wines in the country. The event was a success and I got to fill up my "where to eat in Atlanta" google doc with a lot of new places! George and I celebrated my birthday on Saturday evening with drinks at The Porch on Collier Road, which could shape up to be one of my favorite porch spots of the summer if they play their cards right. After a couple glasses of refreshing Prosecco we were off to my favorite restaurant, Top Flr to eat entirely way too much food. We chowed down on some Tuna Tar-Tar, Chorizo Flatbread, Hanger Steak, Brussel Sprouts, and Mac and Cheese, until we caught the itis and hauled our overstuffed bellies home to watch scary movies. Sunday was met with the best of brunch intentions at Park's Edge, however since my little group moves at a snails pace, there was a 2 hour wait by the time we got there. So, our quest for brunch led us to Pure for some Mexican food and bottomless mimosas. After brunch, we trekked over to Victory for some whiskey slushies and to enjoy the amazing day it turned out to be until we had to get home to put on a much anticipated cook out with a couple close friends. The perfect ending to a perfect birthday, 25 might not be so bad after all
