Greatest Wedding Picture Ever

A wine night with friends led to the discovery of what is now being called the best wedding picture of all time. Side note: the only people calling it this are directly involved in this picture. 

I don't much care for having my picture taken (hence the shrugging). Maggie has her eye on the prize (the bouquet) which was eventually caught by yours truly.

Friday Mash Up?

Switching things up this week (partially because I was getting family, er...Christmas, drunk) and doing a little Friday mash up to get you through the end of your work week. Now I know in my last post I spoke out my NYR of discovering new music, well it's not the new year and I don't want to yet, so take that...I digress, back to the music. Lissie was one of my favorite shining stars of 2012, I am so sad I missed her at Coachella (damn early set times) but have been an avid follower since. She has kick ass original songs AND covers some of my favorites (Fleetwood Mac anyone?) And lord do I love a little fem pop/rock. Happy Friday!

Resolutions, Music and BRINK!

With the holidaze coming to an end and New Year's resolutions on everyone's mind, I thought I would share a couple NYR dancing around my brain: 

1. Listen to one new band a week - I am constantly bored with my music selection and bored with playing the "related artists" game on Spotify. I love my "when i doubt" music (Jeff Buckley, Two Door Cinema Club and Ryan Adams - I am aware this is odd) - but I need to rely on it less.

2. Work out/eat better - Original, I know. From Pure Barre classes, to boot camps to rollerblading through the park, anything active and calorie-fighting, I am game for.

Get it? Because of the rollerblading?...

  

3. Still trying to invest more in that "grown up" wardrobe...it's a work in progress.

4. Be less bored with my hair - this (let's be honest) will probably never happen, but a girl's damaged hair follicles can dream? right?  

*Background: I have dyed my hair every color under the sun since I was 17 years old,       several times a year, and just can't seem to find the "one" for me - that is, assuming of course, that there is such a thing as "the one" - wow, did I just get really deep?...sorry.

5. Making my way through my comprehensive Atlanta (soon to be southeast) restaurant google.doc/maybe letting my viewer(s)...(maybe?)...(just follow me!)...get a glimpse at the list itself.

My New Celeb Obsession

Well, not entirely new. (Empire Records reference = 10pts) As some of you know (maybe) I have always loved Rose McGowan, I mean...Scream (Thanks for reminding me Celia), Lifetime movies, Jawbreaker and Charmed? That's a damn good resume right there. But lately (and by lately I mean since she was engaged to that guy that put her in that bad movie where she had a gun as her leg) she has been kind of a mess...Case and Point:

Sometimes Monday morning needs a little kick in the ass from Donald Glover. No, not THIS guy, Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino. Normally I am not the biggest fan of hip hop, but something about the Atlanta native's flow (yes, I said flow...) gets my head above ground on those Monday mornings you just want to stay in bed. If you haven't listened to his album, Camp, you are missing out...you should probably go listen to it, like now.
